Christopher Papastavros and Architectural Interior Photography Melbourne retain copyright in the photography. The Client receives a licence to use the images for the approved purposes described in the written quote and service agreement. Purchasing photography does not transfer copyright ownership.

Usage rights and access to the final downloadable files are granted once the project invoice has been paid in full.

The standard licence is generally non-exclusive, worldwide and perpetual for the named Client. Approved uses may include websites, social media, digital marketing, paid advertising, print media, competition entries, outdoor advertising and email campaigns. The exact permitted use is confirmed in the written agreement.

No. The licence is non-transferable. Images cannot be supplied, distributed or sublicensed to another architect, builder, designer, developer, supplier, publication or business unless that party has been approved as a Co-Licensee or purchases its own licence.

Publishers and media outlets are third-party users and must contact Architectural Interior Photography Melbourne directly to arrange the appropriate editorial licence. A photographer credit is required for editorial use when practical.

Yes. The standard licence is non-exclusive. Exclusive rights may be available for an additional fee quoted according to the project, duration, region and intended use.

Yes. Unless an exclusive licence states otherwise, Architectural Interior Photography Melbourne may display the photography in its portfolio, website, social media and marketing materials and may licence the images to approved third parties.

Yes. Architects, builders, designers, developers, suppliers and other businesses involved in the same project can participate through a cost-sharing arrangement agreed before the shoot. This allows several businesses to benefit from one professionally planned photography project rather than arranging separate shoots.

A Co-Licensee is an additional approved business involved in the same project that receives its own permission to use the photography. This may include an architect, builder, developer, interior designer, supplier, pool builder, landscaper or another project partner.

Co-Licensees must be identified and included in the agreed licensing arrangement. Each approved Co-Licensee receives its own usage rights and cannot transfer the images to other businesses that are not included in the agreement.

One of the main benefits of a Co-Licensee arrangement is cost-sharing. Rather than each business organising and paying for a completely separate photography shoot, businesses involved in the original project can contribute towards the creative fee, travel and other agreed shoot expenses. This can make professional photography more cost-effective for the participating businesses while allowing each approved party to legally use the imagery for its own marketing.

Where a Co-Licensee receives the complete set of project deliverables, an additional 25% Co-Licensee surcharge is applied to the creative fee and travel subtotal for each participating Co-Licensee.

The Primary Client directs the shoot, provides consolidated feedback and manages the financial contributions from the participating businesses.

A project partner requiring only selected photographs may licence those images individually rather than receiving access to the complete gallery. Usage rights apply only to the selected photographs and do not extend to the remaining images from the project. Pricing is provided based on the number of images required and the intended usage.

One Primary Client directs the shoot, provides consolidated feedback and approves requested changes. Architectural Interior Photography Melbourne invoices the Primary Client, who manages any contributions from participating Co-Licensees.

After full payment has been received, Architectural Interior Photography Melbourne emails each approved Co-Licensee a direct Google Drive link containing the images included in their licence.

A booking deposit is required to secure the shoot date. The exact deposit requirement will be stated in the written estimate and credited towards the final project invoice.

Full payment is due within 14 days of receiving the invoice unless another timeframe is stated in the written agreement.

Access to the completed high-resolution and web-resolution files is provided after the invoice has been paid in full.

Each estimate will display its validity period. The estimate applies to the original project description, usage and scope provided by the Client.

Fees are based on the original job description. Changes to the number of locations, deliverables, usage, production requirements or project scope may result in an updated estimate.

The Client is encouraged to attend or appoint an authorised representative who can provide direction and approve specific compositions, styling or priorities.

If neither the Client nor an authorised representative is present, Christopher Papastavros will use professional creative discretion regarding composition, camera position, lighting, styling and interpretation of the space.

Complete construction, cleaning, styling and landscaping work before the scheduled photography wherever possible. Remove unnecessary equipment, packaging, rubbish, personal items and temporary signage from the areas being photographed.

A useful shot list identifies essential elevations, rooms, design features, materials, fixtures, construction details and any priority images required by the project partners.

If a shoot must be postponed because of unsuitable weather, unsafe conditions, restricted access or another circumstance beyond either party’s reasonable control, the shoot may be rescheduled subject to availability and the applicable service agreement.

Yes. Rescheduling terms depend on the reason and notice provided. Any cancellation charges, retained deposits or non-refundable expenses will be confirmed under the current service agreement.

Drone photography and video depend on weather, site conditions, airspace restrictions, safety and regulatory requirements. Flight availability will be assessed for each location.

Unedited proofs may be supplied for the Client to review and select the photographs to be professionally edited. The selection process and timeframe will be confirmed for the project.

Final edited images are normally delivered in high-resolution and web-resolution formats through Google Drive within the timeframe stated in the written estimate. Where proof selection is required, the delivery period begins after final selections are received.

Express turnaround may be available depending on scheduling. The additional fee and revised delivery date will be quoted for approval before express work begins.

Professional colour correction, tonal adjustments, perspective correction and standard image preparation are completed according to the agreed project scope.

Retouching that changes the original scene or alters reality may attract an additional hourly fee. An estimate will be supplied for approval before that work begins.

Some items may be removable through retouching, depending on their complexity and position. Significant removal, reconstruction or scene alteration is quoted separately.
